Hello Newville Little League Families,

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we are unable to start playing baseball on June 1st as originally communicated. We are however still planning to have a baseball season this summer. Our county has to be in the “green” phase of the Governors reopening plan in order for youth sports to be allowed. We are excited and prepared to open the facility as soon as we can. If Governor Wolf announces by June 19th that Cumberland County will go Green, we can begin practices on June 26th. As soon as we are in the “green” phase, we will play ball! Please reach out to your manager, Little League Board, or contact page with questions.

The Newville Little League Board and volunteers have continued to work behind the scenes to have the complex ready and safety precautions in place so we are prepared to go when we move to the green phase. Little League International has best practices for organizing, playing and watching games to keep all the players, coaches and fans healthy and safe once we can resume. The Board continues to review how best to implement them at Newville Little League for everyone’s safety.
