We had a very successful first weekend of the Charlie Hoover Fall Classic Baseball Tournament held October 10th and 11th at the Newville Little League Complex.

We had 7 12u teams and 6 10u teams compete over a great weekend of baseball. Our Newville Little Leaguers represented very well. The 12u Bulldogs Team went 2-2 and made it to the semi-finals and the 10u Bulldogs Team went 3-1 and came in second.

This weekend, October 17th and 18th we will host 8 9U teams, 8 11u teams and 10 13u teams for what looks to be another great weekend of baseball honoring one of our lifelong volunteers Charlie Hoover. Newville Little Leaguers will again be represented on teams at these different levels.

As a Board we are again asking for volunteers from our Newville Little League Community to volunteer to help in the concession stand, run scoreboards and prep the fields in between games. Any amount of time you can volunteer will be greatly appreciated and helpful as Newville Little League Board members handle the majority of these duties.

Please remember tournament registration fees and concessions stand sales from the Charlie Hoover Fall Classic Tournament will go directly to the Little League and help to offset field and complex maintenance cost and player registration fees for next season. Our Little League complex runs 100% on revenue from concession stand sales, donations, business sponsorships, registration fees and volunteer hours. With our delayed and condensed 2020 Little League season our player participation was down, and our concession stand was not open as much as normal resulting in lower income to the league.

To register for a time to volunteer and find out more information please contact by phone or text:

Lindsey Gayman 717-385-3430 to volunteer at the Concession stand

Scott Bechtold 717-314-4437 to volunteer for scoreboards and field prep

Thank you in advance from the entire Newville Little League Board of Directors for your help, together, we can all make this tournament a huge financial success for our Little League Complex!
